Krishihan Sivapragasam
Krishihan is a research assistant with the Global Food System & Policy Research group at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research at York University. His primary research focus is on anti-microbial resistance and pandemic prevention. He is interested in global health policy, humanitarian issues, and planetary health. He completed his MSc in Global Health at McMaster University, focusing on global disease burden and its challenges. His final dissertation was on the effects of intergenerational trauma on family violence among forcibly displaced populations. Prior to his MSc, he received his Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree at McMaster University. His final thesis explored the comparative effects of mindfulness meditation to video games on physiological and psychological stress-related outcomes of undergraduate students.
