Tyler Antonio Lynch, MPhil
Tyler Antonio Lynch is a political scientist and researcher specializing in the political economy of land, labour, and law in the Global South. He earned his MPhil in Politics and International Studies with distinction from the University of Cambridge, where he studied at Clare Hall. He also graduated with highest honours from the University of British Columbia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. His research foci have included landless workers movements in Brazil and India, contentious politics in the Global South, agribusiness, as well as human rights and international law.
In his humanitarian career, he has worked with refugees and asylum seekers on the Franco-British border and in Cambridge, UK since 2023. His writing and journalistic work has been published in several notable outlets, including *Jacobin Magazine*. Raised in China and Taiwan, he speaks French, Portuguese, and Chinese. Tyler writes at *Crooked Places* on Substack.
