
Kathirvel Soundappan, MD
Kathirvel Soundappan is a Dahdaleh Global Health Graduate Scholar from the School of Global Health, York University, Toronto, Canada. He is a community physician and works as an Additional Professor at the Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. He is an alumnus of the WHO Structured Operational Research Training Initiative (SORT IT) and IARC-WHO Summer School on Cancer Epidemiology, Lyon, France. He mentored multiple Operational/ Implementation research projects from South Asia and Africa and has published more than 100 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. He is also one of the editors of the book titled “Principles and Applications of Evidence-based Public Health Practice,” published by Elsevier.
