Ryan McLeod

Ryan McLeod is a research assistant with Global Food System & Policy Research in the School of Global Health at York University and a recent graduate of York University’s Graduate Program in Health, specializing in health policy and equity. His research evaluated the language and ideological assumptions of Canada’s national anti-poverty strategy to better understand its impact on poverty in Canada; and explain the relationships between language, broad social structures, policy, and practice. Ryan adds an equity-minded critical lens to the research team, and continues to seek research opportunities that aim at reducing social inequities. He is supporting the project on pandemic prevention and global governance.
