Urmi is a research assistant at Global Food System & Policy Research, and a former recipient of an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award. She is primarily working on a systematic scoping review about the role of artificial intelligence in non-communicable disease prevention policy, and is interested in health equity, policy, and the intersection between emerging technologies and health. Urmi is a recent graduate from the global health program at York University and will be studying medicine at McMaster University.
